Hi Mark,
in response to your question, the answer is yes. If a candidate chooses to submit a work product project based on work that they did for an employer they no longer work for they would need to get all of the release forms signed by that employer. This is a legal requirement that provides protection to the candidate and to ASTD CI in respect to the employers proprietary information. If the candidate feels they would be unable to get this from the employerethen my suggestion would be that they select a different project.

Thank you for the question

Session 3 - June 25 WebEx

To prepare for this session ASTD ATL CPLP Study Group should:

Read the Designing Learning Module

And for homework try this case study:

Needs Assessment: Case Study Activity

A new asthma-relief inhaler is going to launch in two months. All sales representatives will need to be trained on the new product since it is substantially different from other products they currently promote.
Research and development, product marketing, and field managers all have different perspectives on what type of training will yield the best results. They have come to you to develop the learning solution.
Sales representatives are expected to sell $1 million of the asthma-relief inhalers in the first year and to articulate all product features and benefits in the current marketing “script”. Representatives will also need to demonstrate how to use the product correctly.
